It’s an interesting phenomenon that checking one’s site statistics can often lead you to writing blog posts. I think it finds it’s origins years ago when I used to go through the search results for nocents.org. For some reason (probably related to google’s weird indexing of our site and it’s archives) we very rarely ended up with search results (what visitors to our site searched to find us) that weren’t completely random.
For instance, here are ten from a particular post in 2004.
(1) tale of the tongan ninja
(2) chris morris paul garner taxi
(3) awesome flash games
(4) masculine reproductive apparatus
(5) males are more dominant and females are more passive
(6) boo jeans movie quote
(7) 9coronas
(8) pringle chip ghandi
(9) san francisco world s fair placker
(10) human rfid
I can assure you that only number (3) would have even been close to finding what they wanted.
Since my move to peteandmegan.com, search results have been a lot more logical. I would say that 70% of visitors to the site would be able to find something related to their query somewhere on the site.
But anyway, back to my phenomenon. When I see a search query that is accurate, but there wasn’t up to date info on the site, I feel the need to make a post. In this case, the query was “AllBlacks Blog“. Note the misspelling of All Blacks (no space).
So I thought I would make some comments on the upcoming test between the AB’s and the Wallabies on Saturday night in Christchurch.
Actually, even I am a little ‘rugby’d out’. The only news I found interesting was that Mils Muliaina is playing at centre and Leon MacDonald at fullback.
Does anyone remember this?
I don’t have any passionate views on who could take his (Nonu’s) spot, but I’m pretty sure you could do a lot better with many of the available options…Mils was impressive tonight, and with the option of Leon MacDonald at fullback should be the logical choice.
It will be interesting to see how the pair go on Saturday night. I think it will be a very close game (Australia trounced the Irish team that almost caused an upset in NZ) and I’m steeling myself for the unthinkable, a Bledisloe Cup loss to Australia on home soil.
Let’s hope the team rises to the occasion.
