“Who’s the “Na na” guy?” I hear you asking. Well, perhaps this is a bit of an “in” joke. To those who have attended or currently attend Northcote Baptist Church.
There is a song which was commonly sung (and I played) called “Every move I make”. It’s not the most theological song but isn’t a lot worse than many upbeat “fun” songs until it gets to the chorus/bridge which goes:

According to the interweb some church sing them as “la” and some don’t sing that at all, but it doesn’t change the fact that this chorus is pretty pointless.
But I think it’s a fun song and has it’s place. However, Megan hates does not love it. So we’ve had a few discussions about it.
So imagine my amusement when we found out that David Ruis, the song’s writer is coming to our church next week. I may ask him if the chorus was his idea and whether he was just out of inspiration that night.
But I can’t hold that song against him, since he’s also written “You’re Worthy of My Praise” (I will give you all my worship…), Let Your Glory Fall (…in this room, let it go forth from here to the nations) and probably a bunch of other ones people would know.
