The other day I picked up an interesting demo, Alpine Ski Racing 2007 by JoWood Productions.
It seems that this game would predominantly be a niche production for ski racing fans. A bit like Melbourne Cup Challenge was for horse racing fans. However, this game (unlike MCC) is actually every bit enjoyable enough for the average non skier to pick up and enjoy.
The game is slick and well made. The menus and graphics are very good and it was pretty easy to get my Xbox 360 Controller set up.
The demo feels a little bit limited, though gamespot seem convinced that there are two levels available, I could only play one, Garmish. If there is a second (which I will have to check later) it would make a big difference.
Ultimately, this is a solid, enjoyable, well made game that I would happily pick up if I saw it on the shelf at The Warehouse for $10.
On another note, it would make a wonderful DS game.
